According to the City of Royal Oak's Citizens Participation Plan, "the city shall make every effort to post all public notices, as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development', related to the CDBG program on the city's website.

05-30-2018 public notice - 30 day comment period PY2018 Annual Action Plan
Notice is hereby given that a draft copy of the City of Royal Oak’s community development block grant (CDBG) program year 2018/2019 annual action plan, effective July 1, 2018, is available for review and public comment. The CDBG annual action plan is required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for annual funding under federal guidelines. If identifies how the city plans to expend CDBG funds during the next program year to meet the goals and objectives within its five-year consolidated plan. The draft annual action plan will be available for a 30-day public comment period for review and comment from May 30th through July 2nd. A summary of the proposed activities and funding levels is provided below. The draft plan is available for download on the City of Royal Oak’s website at  A paper copy of the plan will be available for viewing at the planning division’s office, city hall, 211 Williams St, Royal Oak MI 48067. The city will take all reasonable steps to provide a copy to disabled persons and non-english speaking persons. 04-25-2018 public hearing notice
Please be advised that the City of Royal Oak’s Rehabilitation Board of Appeals, in its advisory role for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, will hold a public hearing at city hall, room 309, 211 Williams St, Royal Oak, Michigan on May 22, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. to hear public comments pertaining to the city’s community development needs for the PY 18/19 Annual Action Plan. A draft version of the above referenced document may be found on the city’s website ( It is also available for viewing at the planning office of the community development department within city hall. Non-English speaking or hearing impaired and disabled citizens wishing to attend the public hearing must notify the city at least five days prior to the meeting to arrange translation or interpretive services.
