Home Invasion:
3000 block of Clawson, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect forced open her front door and stole numerous pieces of jewelry. 11-26299
4100 block of Edgar, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect cut several window screens and pushed a window open. Nothing was missing from the home. 11-26290
2500 block of Linwood, 11-28-11: The Royal Oak Police Department received a 911 call from a female that reported a white male just kicked in the front door of her home and then fled on foot. Royal Oak officers quickly responded and caught the suspect a few blocks away. He was arrested and charged with Attempted Home Invasion. 11-26480
1700 block of Cresthill, 11-28-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect entered his house and stole a Wii game console and jewelry. 11-26526
Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile:
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 11-28-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect stole her 2001 Chrysler Concorde while it was parked in the parking lot. 11-26513
2400 block of E. Lincoln, 11-29-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger window of her car and broke the steering column in an attempt to steal the vehicle. 11-26547
Matthews Hargreaves Chevrolet, 2000 E. Twelve Mile, 11-29-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the lock and attempted to steal a 2001 Dodge from the lot. While exiting the parking lot with the stolen vehicle, the suspect drove into a parked car. The stolen vehicle became disabled and the suspect fled the area. 11-26560
100 block of S. Edgeworth, 11-29-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect stole his 1989 Chevy from his driveway. 11-26570
Larceny from Automobile
32000 block of Woodward, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the front passenger window out of her vehicle and stole her purse and a laptop computer. 11-26313
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the rear window to his vehicle and stole his Iphone. 11-26312
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the rear window to his vehicle and stole a duffle bag containing an IPod Touch. 11-26310
200 block of Baldwin, 11-27-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole clothing and some change. 11-26434
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 11-30-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the driver’s window to her vehicle and stole credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash. 11-26623
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 11-30-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash. 11-26635
700 block of Montrose, 12-1-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke into his unlocked work van and stole miscellaneous work equipment. 11-26686
LA Fitness, 25352 Woodward, 12-1-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the rear window to her vehicle and stole her purse. 11-26688
Other Incidents:
1300 block of E. Fourth, 11-25-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect stole his bicycle from his front porch. 11-26288
Fourth St. and Blair St., 11-25-11: Royal Oak Officers responded to an injury accident in which a gold Toyota Camry driven by a 55-year-old male left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. 11-26279
Fifth St. and Center St., 11-26-11: Royal Oak Officers responded to a fight call. During their investigation it was discovered that a male suspect hit the male victim in the head with a hair dryer. The male suspect was arrested for felonious assault. 11-26352
400 block of James Circle, 11-26-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect entered his open garage and stole his bicycle. 11-26392
Desmond and Sons Funeral Home, 32515 Woodward, 11-26-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect struck the side window of her vehicle and caused it to chip. 11-26374
YMCA, 1016 W. Eleven, 11-26-11: Royal Oak officers responded to a disturbance at the YMCA where shots were fired. Officers investigation revealed that during an argument outside, a young black male produced a hand gun and fired a single shot into the air. The black male fled on foot and was found by Royal Oak officers at a nearby bus stop. The suspect was positively identified by witnesses and placed under arrest. 11-26403
2200 block of E. Twelve Mile, 11-27-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect slashed two tires on her vehicle. 11-26437
Coolidge and Massoit, 11-29-11: Royal Oak officers responded to the report of a pedestrian accident. Royal Oak officers investigation revealed that a vehicle travelling north bound on Coolidge struck a pedestrian when she crossed Coolidge. The pedestrian was transported to Royal Oak Beaumont for treatment. 11-26552
YMCA, 1061 W. Eleven Mile, 12-01-11: The complainant reported that an unknown suspect broke the window on her minivan. Nothing was missing or disturbed in the vehicle. 11-26685

On November 28, 2011, at approximately 9:30 am, Royal Oak officers responded to the 2500 block of Linwood after the resident reported that a male suspect had attempted to break into the home. The resident reported that the suspect knocked loudly several times on the front door. When the resident did not answer, the suspect walked around the front of the home and then returned to the front door. The suspect forced entry by shatter the door jam and opening the door. The resident yelled at the suspect and immediately dialed 911. The suspect fled the area on foot.
Royal Oak officers quickly located the suspect a few blocks away and placed him under arrest for Attempted Home Invasion. Charges are pending.
The suspect, whose name is not being released, was released from prison within the last week.
