The Royal Oak Historical Society is hosting a Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast. Breakfast will be served at the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 7am to 12 noon. All you can eat for $6 a person. The Royal Oak Optimist Club and First United Methodist Church Presents the 2013 Oak Apple Run to benefit the South Oakland Boys and Girls Club. The 36th Annual Oak Apple event in downtown Royal Oak will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013. The Oak Apple Run is for all ages, groups and families. It is our desire that you gather your family, friends and/or coworkers and spend some time having fun getting fit. The “Nature Society Year in Review” is being held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2013, beginning at 7:30 pm in the Royal Oak Senior/Community Center (3500 Marais) instead of at the Middle School. We will talk and show photos about what has been going on with the Nature Society, Cummingston Park, Tenhave Woods and our arboretum in Worden Park East.All Nature Walks and Speaker Programs are free and open to everyone. Pre-registration is not required.

The 19th Annual Clay, Glass & Metal Show is one of the jewels of Royal Oak taking place Saturday, June 8 from 10am-7pm and Sunday, June 9 from 11am-5pm on Washington Avenue in downtown Royal Oak. One of the country's top art shows, the event features 125+ of the finest artists in clay, glass and metal work, who are selected by a jury process.
