National Take Back Initiative
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications. Bring your old meds to:
Royal Oak Police Department
221 E. Third Street (just South of 11 Mile Rd. off Troy Street)
Volunteers from the Royal Oak Community Coalition will be on hand to facilitate the process and provide educational materials.
If you have questions about how to safely dispose of old medicine, please call the Coalition office at 248-546-7622 or visit our website at www.ci.royal-oak.mi.us/rocc.
Other collection sites can be found in the Drug Enforcement Administration database at www.dea.gov by clicking the “Got Drugs?” banner (following the “Locate Collection Site Near You” link) and entering their ZIP code.
