Celebrate 10 years of fun with the Holiday Magic Parade in Downtown Royal Oak

The parade, presented by Star Lanes Restaurant & Sports Bar at Emagine Royal Oak, offers family fun before, during and after the parade!

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – November 8, 2011 – Downtown Royal Oak invites families to the 10th Annual Holiday Magic Parade presented by Star Lanes Restaurant & Sports Bar at Emagine Royal Oak on Saturday, November 19th at 11am.  The parade starts at Lincoln and Washington and heads north on Washington to Fourth Street where it heads west and ends at Lafayette.  

This Downtown Royal Oak parade will once again kick off the holiday season by showcasing over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more!  Be sure to check out some new surprises this year from the Royal Oak Police Department as well as the Shell-Camino Monster Truck, surprise superheroes, and the Royal Oak Hockey Association’s Zamboni to name a few.  Jim Harper of Christmas 105.1 will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal, as he finishes up his long-time career in Metro Detroit at the end of 2011.  

The popular Toys for Tots program, sponsored by Holiday Market, is back!  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to be collected along the parade route by Marines and given to a local deserving child.

Before the parade, stay warm by participating in Santa Scamper, a Fun Run through the parade route at 10:30am.  For more information, visit www.santascamper.org

After the parade, there will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Stagecrafters from 12-2pm.
