Here is a way to add to your collection of perennials. Held inside, so come rain or shine! Open to public. Tables will be provided. No trees or woody shrubs. You can trade or give away plants. Bring plants LABELED and in pots or plastic baggies. Sponsored by the Royal Oak Garden Club and Royal Oak Recreation.

The Royal Oak Nature Society is hosting a “Mushroom Walk” on Sunday, September 19th, 2010 beginning at 2:00 pm in Tenhave Woods. Park at the Lexington/Marais lot & meet at Lexington entrance.  Diane Pruden, an active member of the North American Mycological Association, will lead a mushroom survey of the park in the attempt to identify the mushrooms & fungus that we encounter.Read more »

Please join us on Tuesday, September 28 from 4-7pm at the Sign of the Beef Carver located 27400 Woodward Ave. They will be donating 15% of all purchases to the M/M Senior Center to assist with raising funds for various activities. Please present flyer when paying for the Senior Center to receive 15% of purchase. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupons. The Royal Oak Nature Society is hosting a “Nature Walk for the Physically Challenged” which is being held at the Arboretum on Sunday, October 24th, at 1:00 pm. Join us for a short (500 feet) walk down the cement sidewalk behind the Senior/Community Center. Many different trees, shrubs, and wildflowers are right along the pathway. The sidewalk is level and barrier free. It provides an easy way to see nature. Meet at the south end of the Senior/Community Center (3500 Marais).Read more »
