Homicide Investigation - Person of Interest Being Sought

On July 13, 2010, at 2:52 pm, our department received a 911 call from a person stating a gun shot was heard and an injured man was laying in a driveway in the 2700 block of Ardmore.

Officers and medical personnel arrived to assist the injured man. The injured man was Gary Harmon Lupiloff, a 53 year old Royal Oak resident. Mr. Lupiloff was taken to Wm. Beaumont Hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead. Mr. Lupiloff died as a result of the gunshot wound.

Our department is asking for information and possible witnesses to this shooting. There are reports a person on a mountain bike was seen in the area who may have information regarding this case.

July 20, 2010 Update: There is new information that a black “SUV” or
“Crossover” was seen in the area of the shooting.
