DMC Presents Project to DDA

A new DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan Specialty Center Project was presented to the Royal Oak Downtown Development Authority at Wednesday's standing room only board meeting. The DDA approved the first step in the project to proceed with a sale of the land located at the City's I-696 corridor.

DMC CEO Mike Duggan stated that there is a lot of vacant land around, but of all the sites they looked at, Royal Oak was the most centrally located site for their patients. Dr Herman Gray, MD, President of DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan provided a detailed history of DMC and their future project scope. Dr Gray stated that this is going to be a specialty center and outpatient care facility with emphasis on children’s heath care.

A preliminary site layout and an elevation rendering of the building design was presented as well as other conceptual design features. The following material is provided for your information.
