The Royal Oak Fire Fighters will be hosting their annual Open House on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. at fire station one (215 E. Sixth Street). There will be refreshments, live Technical Rescue demonstration, Sparky the Fire Dog, Fire Prevention Smokehouse, Free Events, Jaws of Life Demo, fire vehicle displays, CPR demonstration, Thermal Imaging Camera display, and more! Lots of fun and enjoyment for everyone!

94.7 WCSX will be sponsoring a concert benefit for the O'Rourke Family on Tueday, Oct. 2, 2012 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Officer Patrick O'Rourke, a 12-year veteran of the West Bloomfield Police Department was shot and killed in the line of duty on Sunday, September 9th. Officer O'Rourke is mourned as a fallen hero, who selflessly devoted his life to the safety and protection of the West Bloomfield community.Read more »

The Royal Oak Memorial Society invites everyone to attend the Veteran's Day Ceremony on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 11:00am to honor our veterans who have given us our freedom. Join us at the Veteran's War Memorial Plaza next to the Library (S of 11 Mile and E of Main street). The ceremony will include guest speakers and the St Paul's School Children's Choir and Royal Oak High School Students performing taps.
