Late Fall Nature Walk

“Late Fall Nature Walk” is being held at Tenhave Woods on December 5th, 2010 (Sunday) at 2:00 pm. Park at the Lexington/Marais lot & meet at the Lexington entrance. Come and learn about the mammals that live in Tenhave Woods. We will look for signs of these mammals in the park.  We also will have skulls and skins to assist us in describing them and showing how they live. Buckthorn Bust for Royal Oak Nature Society Arboretum

Royal Oak Nature Society cordially invites you to bring your loppers and gloves to our Arboretum & Wildflower Garden on Sunday November 7 at 1PM and eliminate their competition! Meet at the Royal Oak Senior Center Parking Lot to protect our growing Arboretum plant community by cutting Buckthorn and other invasive plants. Check this flyer for additional information.

Life at a Fox Den

The Royal Oak Nature Society is hosting a speaker program at the Royal Oak Middle School (709 N Washington- Between 11 Mile Rd & Catalpa). “Life at a Fox Den” is being held on November 3rd, 2010 beginning at 7:30 pm. Suburban areas are prime real estate for red fox. Here a pair of foxes can find plenty of rabbits, mice and squirrels to feed a hungry litter of pups. Sterling Heights naturalist Gordon Lonie has spent many hours watching and photographing red foxes at their den. Come join him for a close look at this fascinating canine.Read more »

Helen Keller Elementary Pond Garden Opening

Senior Center Fundraiser

Please join us on Tuesday, September 28 from 4-7pm at the Sign of the Beef Carver located 27400 Woodward Ave. They will be donating 15% of all purchases to the M/M Senior Center to assist with raising funds for various activities. Please present flyer when paying for the Senior Center to receive 15% of purchase. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupons.
