Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools Benefit

The Royal Oak Women's Night Out hosted by Bright Side Dental will take place at BlackFinn American Saloon this coming Wednesday, August 3rd, from 6pm - 9pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools. With a donation at the door you will receive complimentary passed appetizers, drink specials, and the opportunity to have beauty services done by local vendors.  We also have some great raffle prizes donated by our vendors as well as other local businesses.

Corn Roast & Country Fair

Come out for a traditional family day of fun at the Royal Oak Corn Roast & Country Fair on Saturday, August 11th from 9am – 4pm, located at the Royal Oak Farmers Market.  Stroll down the row of 20+ artisan tents while sipping on cool, hand squeezed lemonade or eating fresh roasted corn.  The kids will enjoy games, face painting, moonwalk, and other activities. Time Capsule Fundraiser

Time Capsule Project fundraiser will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 7-10 pm at the Royal Oak home of Michael Chetcuti & Kyle Evans. The event is presented by the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library with food and drink supplied by Pronto! and Cloverleaf Fine Wine. Funds raised will help to purchase the time capsule and other expenses related to this project. Tickets are extremely limited! Mayor Ellison's 2011 State of the City Address will be held at the Emagine Theater from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. The address will be part of the Rotary Club's luncheon event, and tickets are available at the City Clerk's office until 4:30 P.M. on Monday, July 11th.

Local Author Visit

On Wed, Jun 29 from 07:00 p.m. - 08:30 p.m. in the Royal Oak Public Library Friends Auditorium there will be a presentation of the book titled, "A Footpath in Umbria: Learning, Loving and Laughing in Italy". The Grosse Pointe author Nancy Yuktonis Solak’s book details the joys and challenges she and her husband experienced while living in Umbria for a year. A self-professed reluctant traveler, Nancy found the trip transformative for the couple as it challenged their habits, their upbringing and their outlook on life.Read more »
