The City will host the celebration of Arbor Day at Worden Park East at 10:30 am. Worden Park East is located 2-blocks north of Thirteen Mile next to the Mahany-Meininger Senior Community Center (3500 Marais).

Open registration for new Day Camp participants begins Tuesday, March 27, 2012. The Royal Oak Day Camp will be held at Royal Oak High School, 1500 Lexington Blvd (corner of Crooks) for nine weeks in June, July, and August. Day Camp is a great chance to fill your summer with great fun like outdoor skills, games, crafts, sports, swimming and more. The Department of Parks and Recreation is partnering with Ford Arts, Beats, and Eats for the 2013 Adopt-A-Park Park Cleanup Weekend on April 27 and 28. On March 18th, 2012 the Royal Oak Arts Council will present the Baroque Festival Concert. Baroque music is a style of European classical music which was prevalent from the year 1600 to 1750 and is associated with composers such as Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and others. The Baroque Festival Concert will feature performances of Baroque era music by area musicians. The concert takes place at the 1st United Methodist Church in Royal Oak and starts at 4:00 pm.
