This month the South Oakland Art Association calls on one of its newer members, Jacqueline Drake to discuss the Passion of Painting. Jacqueline is originally from Royal Oak and a graduate of Royal Oak Kimball High School. After working at Beaumont Hospital for several years in nursing, she decided to go back to school, and attended an Art school in Austin Texas. There are nearly 700,000 military veterans in Michigan, most of whom, along with their families, are eligible for burial at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. On May 15 William Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors will offer those veterans a free bus trip to the cemetery to learn about their options.
