Committee
Established by Ordinance ยง 39-49. The purpose of the Animal Shelter Committee is to advise and assist the City, City Commission, the City administration and staff concerning all issues involving the Royal Oak Animal Shelter. The committee is composed of one or two members of the City Commission, six Royal Oak residents and one ex officio non-voting member appointed by the City Manager. One member of the committee may be a doctor of veterinary medicine, licensed to practice in the State of Michigan, without having established Royal Oak residency. The committee generally meets the 2nd Thursday of each month.
