The Lumber Barons of Royal Oak

The exhibit "The Lumber Barons of Royal Oak" will open with a special preview party/fundraiser on Friday Jan. 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum, 1411 W. Webster. Members of the Erb, Kidder and Lawson families will be present to say hello and talk to attendees about the family businesses. Hors d'ourves and beverages will be served. This event is $25 per person. Tickets may be purchased via the Royal Oak Historical Museum, PayPal or at the door. Nature Society Guest Speaker Program

"Aliens Among Us” speaker program is being held on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 beginning 7:30 pm at the Royal Oak Middle School (709 N Washington). Many of the organisms that we see in nature were not here before Europeans settled the land'. Come and discover which everyday plants and animals are really ‘strangers in a strange land.  Join Royal Oak Nature Society botanist Don Drife as he explores the sometimes surprising facts about alien invaders. St Patrick's Day Parade Fundraiser

On Thrusday, February 19, the Oakland County Ancient Order of Hibernians is hosting an all-you-can-eat Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Royal Oak. Everyone is invited. Please join us at VFW Post 1669, 214 E. Fourth St., Royal Oak MI 48067, anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Adults $10.00, Children (under 12) $5.00. All proceeds will go for parade expenses.

Orson Starr House Museum Open House

Youth Assistance Bowl-A-Thon

Royal Oak Youth Assistance (ROYA) is seeking corporate sponsors for its 33nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon on Sunday, Mar. 1 from noon to 3 p.m. at Hazel Park Bowl, 24211 Hughes, Hazel Park.

Door prizes, silent auction items, fish bowl auction items and lane sponsors are needed. The Bowl-A-Thon provides funding for a variety of prevention programs including summer camp scholarships, mentors and family education programs.

Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Royal Oak

Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes
