War Veterans Grave Cleaning

In preparation for the Memorial Day tribute, the Royal Oak Memorial Society is seeking individuals and groups to help clean veterans’ graves at Oakview Cemetery on May 7th and 14th from 10 a.m. until noon and to help place US flags next to the graves on May 28th from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Pond Life

This annual flower and garden sale, held annually on Mother’s Day for the past 23 years, draws residents and visitors to the Williams Street Parking lot to shop for flowers, plants, landscaping items, and decorative elements for their lawns. Nearly 70 vendors attend, offering everything from perennials to copper sprinklers, annuals to trees, tomato plants to wind chimes, porch swings to etched stones. Clay, Glass and Metal Show

This award-winning art show features works created from heat using fire and dirt. Held in the heart of the downtown on Washington Avenue, the only mediums presented in this June show are Clay, Glass & Metal pieces, ranging from jewelry to large, decorative items. Paws in the Park

Bring your dog and enjoy a day at Memorial Park that features shows, exhibitors and contests – all dog related. Dress your dog in costume or just browse the various exhibitor booths to see what’s new in pet supplies. Play on the obstacle course. Or perhaps find your own furry forever friend through various adoptions and rescues on site. A portion of event proceeds are donated to related dog charities.
