Downtown Royal Oak invites families to the 13th Annual Holiday Magic Parade presented by Emagine Star Lanes Event Center & Sports Grille on Sunday, November 23rd at 2pm.  The parade starts at Lincoln and Washington and heads north on Washington to Fourth Street where it heads west and ends at Lafayette.

This Downtown Royal Oak parade will once again kick off the holiday season by showcasing over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more!  Be sure to check out the new parade units this year including the LakeShoremen Drum & Bugle Corps, the Ecorse Public Schools Mighty Marching Raiders, and dance with music from Party Dip!  The 100.3 WNIC Jay Towers’ morning show will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal.

This year, new, unwrapped toys will be collected along the parade route or at the parade Main Stage again, and will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland & Macomb Counties’ Holiday Basket Program helping close to 1,000 people during the holiday season.

Before the parade, stay warm by running through the parade route at Santa Scamper, a Fun Run at 1:30pm.  For more information, visit

After the parade, there will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Stagecrafters presented by Buffalo Wild Wings from 3-5pm.  Be sure to bring your camera to capture the fun!

Back this year, Kids Eat Free!  Starting Sunday, November 23rd – December 28th, kids 10 and under eat free on Sundays at participating restaurants with the purchase of an adult meal.  Visit for details.

This parade would not be possible without the generous support from over 40 sponsors including Emagine Star Lanes Event Center & Sports Grille, Buffalo Wild Wings, Five15 Media, Mojo & More, Holiday Market, the Royal Oak Restaurant Association, OUR Credit Union, Genisys Credit Union, Midwest Medical Billing, Skyward Real Estate and more.
