Animal Shelter

The Royal Oak Animal Shelter is operated as a City service under management of the Royal Oak Police Department. Our goals are to provide a safe haven for lost animals or animals given up by their owners; to reunite lost animals with their human companions, and to provide the best possible adoptions of available animals into the home best suited to their personalities.

Address: 1515 N. Edgeworth, Royal Oak, MI 48067

Featured Pet of the Week

MEET PHOENIX! Phoenix is a 5-year-old Pit Bull mix with one blue eye and one brown
eye. He is gorgeous. He came to the shelter as a stray with a terrible ear infection and was
heart worm positive. He has been treated for both, has been neutered and is up
to date on all his vaccines. He now has a clean bill of health and is ready to
go to his forever home for a belly scratch. Phoenix loves people but must be the
only pet in the household.

If you are interested giving Phoenix a place in your family, please visit the Royal Oak
Animal Shelter at 1515 Edgeworth (behind Mathews Hargreaves) or phone the shelter
at: 248-246-3364
